4 Kids & a Dog

Starting tomorrow I am going to have 4 kids and a dog !! We are watching my niece & nephew while my sister is visiting friends in Canada & attending a wedding there as well. The boys are so excited to have them come and stay the night. They have a campout planned for tomorrow night in the living room, sidewalk chalk painting for after school on Monday & popsicles on Tuesday ! I too am excited to be having them over..although I must say 4 is more interesting than 2. I had a practice day on friday, taking all 4 on a field trip. It went well and I was out of the house on time (which made my day)..we'll see how it goes on Monday when I have to get them all out of the house by 8:15 for school. It has been so wonderful to have them here the entire month of Sept. I can't think of a better way to end their visit than with them playing together and having that campout !

A Fun Day ! (part 1)

It started out with cinnamon rolls for breakfast...while we were putting finishing touches all around for the party. By 10 the kids started rolling in and the fun began !

Here's the birthday boy !

There was the bounce house...

There was the pinata...
(Darth Vader of course)

There were presents...

And don't forget the cake...(that mommy made)

And this was only one part of our family fun for the day...

Changes...

...they are sometimes scary...sometimes needed...sometimes great...sometimes wanted...sometimes unwanted...they happen all the time, just depends on how you feel about them.
We are praying about some changes for our family for 2010. Why I am I praying already you say? Well because these changes are on the larger scale and need just that...prayer. It may be that nothing changes or that it's a small change, but a change is coming !

Turning 3

My baby is turning 3 next week...I can't believe that this is happening ! How did the time go by so quickly ? He is such a sweet boy, our blondie, big dimples, smiling when he knows he is causing mischief, all boy he is indeed, loves to be outdoors, playing with his brother, playing with friends...a fun filled weekend is ahead of us as we celebrate with family & friends.

Soccer Game

What a day for a game..we actually had a little rain sprinkle on us, saw lightening off in the distance and a lovely breeze. It was great weather for a afternoon game..not too hot nor too cold.

We didn't win our first game, but the kids all had a great time, so I am happy. Ryan had a blast and can't wait for the next game.

Going for the ball.

A shot on goal.

Our Star Goalie !

First Soccer Game

Today is Ryan's first soccer game of the season..we are all so excited ! The banner bag is by the front door, the oranges are cut, the snack for after the game is ready (cookies & juice), the player is dressed and ready for fun, coach has his roster ready for action, the cooler of water is being filled...I think we are prepared..oh yes, the first aid kit is in the bag as well.

Such an exciting day for us all..I guess that explains the butterflies in my tummy ! I can't wait to get out there and take some photos of the kids having fun...I'll be sure and post when we get back. GO STAMPEDE !!!

"Miss Angelique"

This is my new name/title...that's right..I am back to work !!! AAHHH !!
After 6 years of being at home, I found a part time job that fit our family's schedule. I am an assistant teacher in an at home preschool. I work while Ryan is at Kindergarten so I am able to be home with both boys in the afternoon. The bonus is that this is the preschool Matthew is attending so I am with him ALL DAY !
I am enjoying the kids at preschool..they are so full of energy and imagination. 3 & 4 yr olds are so innocent and honest with what they say..I love it ! And I enjoy the smiles I see each day as they greet me at the door or give me hugs throughout the morning. I am blessed to have had a fun job fall into my lap. Now all I need to do is get myself reorganized and situated with the new schedule. Once that is done, I'll feel back to normal once again :)

A Memory Visit

This month my sister and her little ones are here for a visit. They live in New Zealand, so we only get a visit once a year. It is a very special time when we are all together and we try and make the most of every day. This visit feels extra special because my little one (almost 3) and her oldest (2 1/2) will make memories they will remember this visit. This is the age that my oldest really remembered Auntie playing with him and being here, so my sister and I are so excited about what they will each remember about one another and all the fun they are going to have together. (which has already begun) They were only together for 3 hours tonight, but they made the most of it !
